Sober College Academy is a residential program for young adults age 17 1/2 to 29 with chemical dependency and related issues. The curriculum builds competencies in Sobriety, Life Skills, Physical Fitness, Academics and Job Readiness.

A Sober Night Out - News from Friar House

"Friday night the guys all helped each other dress up for the AA meeting. They were ironing for each other, loaning each other clothes, and overall having a great time ... there was a real college feel to the whole night ... getting ready to go out, talking about girls, laughing with each other .. they guys that were not going out to the meeting to the meeting helped cook steaks and all sorts of other great stuff. They were having a great time without using. they all sat down to dinner together and talked about how great they feel and they never thought after being entrenched in their disease for so long that they could feel like they did tonight ... this is why we do this."
