Sober College is an academic-focused treatment program that works with young adults struggling in life because of their involvement in addictive behaviors, primarily drug and alcohol. The heart of our clincial approach is a treatment team mentality which brings all levels of staff together weekly to discuss each student. Types of clinical approaches can include, but are not limited to:
- Psychiatric stabilization and management by staff psychiatrist.
- Intensive assessment process.
- Weekly individual therapy.
- Therapeutic process groups.
- Chemical dependency counseling.
- Therapeutic encouter groups (surfing, trapeze, wind-tunnel)
- Specialized therapies as requested by students and parents.
- Anger Management
- CBT or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- DBT or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
- EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
- Eating Disorder Related
- PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Neuropsychological testing
